I kicked a surgical tech as they were prepping me for a C-section. They then *tried* to restrain me because "the baby was in distress." No shit--someone just tried to catheterize me w/o warning.
The anesthesiologist stood up for me, & got them to leave me alone. In an entire operating room full of women--they felt that treating me as a mute incubator was the status quo, & that the baby was more important than my informed consent.
A few breaths later, no neonatal distress, & I asked Dr. Sleep to knock me out for the duration.
Fuck having a kid in this country.
